About Me

My name is Marissa Neel and I have been a licensed stylist since 2011, teaching independently since 2015 and now I am a salon owner. I have an amazing, supportive husband who has been by my side in building my business and I couldn't be more grateful. Through all the stressors of growing and owning my own business, I truly don't know what I would do without him! He keeps me sane. We have two beautiful girls and I hope I can show them it’s very possible to pursue your own dreams and still make family a priority.

My first passion in life was painting and drawing. Two of my sisters and my grandmother introduced me into the artistic world and as soon as I had a taste I couldn't get enough. As I grew older, I started channeling my passion for art, through hair. I decided to attend Cosmetology school in high school and right away I knew it was the best decision I could have made. I can't say it was an easy start right out of school; there is so much to know about this industry as a whole and it was completely overwhelming. There was a point in time I considered giving up on being a hair stylist but with a little patience and a lot of faith, my business took off! I have made my share of mistakes but I have learned so much over the past 11 years and continue to learn more each and every day.

As my career grew, I had the opportunity to start sharing my knowledge with other hairstylists from all over the U.S. I have been independently teaching for 7 years now and it has become a huge passion of mine. I love being able to share what works for me, with other stylists who are eager to learn and grow their careers. Community over competition!
